The roadmap is a simple way of explaining and tracking the plans and goals that a blockchain project has set up to achieve over a certain period of time. The goals in roadmaps are broken down quarterly rather than by specific dates. Completing the roadmap deadlines in time is extremely important as it shows the dedication and serious attitude of the team towards the project.
