The awesome cryptocurrency conference gathered more than two thousand participants in Hong Kong! This is one of the largest centers in Southeast Asia. The PointPay team was lucky to take part in the TOKEN2049 summit. The event was organized at the highest level. We managed to exchange valuable experience with colleagues from more than fifty countries!
Over a hundred speakers attended the conference. But the audience was particularly interested in those who were directly involved in the emergence of three popular cryptocurrencies included in the top-10 CoinMarketCap, Justin Sun (TRON’s CEO), Charlie Lee (Litecoin creator) and Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum co-founder). The latter drew attention with his arguments about the areas of the blockchain technology application. He expressed deep skepticism about the possibility of it spreading to areas that are not related to finance. Buterin’s opinion originated from the decentralization factor of this system. But at the same time, he stated that blockchain technology still has prospects of application in such areas as digital identification, digital reputation, and digital certificates.
