Attention to Bitcoin has surged in recent years. Every day we read various opinions and predictions on the future of digital currency. Some predictions are accompanied with charts and analytics, the rest are just thoughts.
But do the top experts say? Their approach varies as well. Let’s just see what the famous investors and businessmen think about the future of Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Bitcoin Price Predictions
Among the crypto skeptics, the most famous name is Bill Gates. He is sure that Bitcoin has a short life and soon we will see it’s value going to 0.
Speaking about the coin on CNBC, Gates said. “As an asset class, you’re not producing anything and so you shouldn’t expect it to go up. It’s kind of a pure ‘greater fool theory’ type of investment. I agree I would short it if there was an easy way to do it.”
He further said that he was given some bitcoin by someone for his birthday, but he sold it a few years later.
Those who are optimistic
Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey doesn’t have any Bitcoin value predictions, but he thinks bitcoin would become probably the internet’s native coin.
Bobbly Lee, Head of the Bitcoin Foundation, is enthusiastic that bitcoin will hit $60,000
John McAfee is sure that bitcoin will hit $1mln in 2020.
And what about Ethereum?
As Bitcoin remains the most talked and famous cryptocurrency, the number of its price predictions are much more than those of Ethereum. Still, there are some opinions that we can mention.
Joseph Raczynski, the founder of Joe Technologist.com, predicted that Ethereum could reach $1,000 by the end of the year. He thinks that Ethereum is the most real project to date, and nearly all large organizations are testing the platform.
Cryptocurrency author and independent analyst Jeff Reed believes that Ethereum will surge in the long term, and predicts its value going beyond Bitcoin.
